Home quarantine

Yes, im not joking. My whole family is home quarantined, including my maid.

Went to college as usual, forgot to do my hwk on energy changes. So busy copying answer lor.

Mum sent me a text message, asking me to call her immediately. I asked permission to make that emergency phone call.

Mum told me dad is test positive with H1N1 flu, and i need to go home after college today. I teared abit, but then wiped off as i do not want everybody to see me crying.

Feeling worried, i couldn't concentrate in class. So many things running in my mind. Olympiad, driving test, daddy, practical write up, ESL presentation. I have to postpone everything of course. But i'm most concerned bout my written practical test.

During free period, rushed to orange room and told Pn Mahani about this. She asked me not to worry about the written practical test, and also asked me to go home. Besides, she asked me to be strong and hope for the best. That time, i was holding my tears back. Can't believe this is happening to my dad.

Then, went to the programme director's office to report about this matter. They ask me to go home immediately as i need to be quarantined. I understand, i might carry the virus and it's not good to infect other ppl. As a result, i have to miss several classes.

Bought lunch and everything and went home. Waited and waited for the health officers to come. They never showed up! We had no choice but to continue wait obviously.

Programme director called my mum, saying that the lecturers will help out with what i missed, asking us to treat this like an extended holiday. I'm so touched by her kindness.

So, we waited until about 11.30pm, then only the health officers show up. They gave us medication, took our temperature, gave us the masks and everything.

Have to eat medicine for 10 days, record down temperature everyday, stay away from each other. Like prison lar omg.
