Mayonnaise Jar and Two Cups of Coffee
when 24 hours in a day are not enough;
remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee...
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in
front of him.
When the class began,
he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar
and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.
He then asked the students if the jar was full.
They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the
jar.
He shook the jar lightly.
The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls.
He then asked the students again if the jar was full.
They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He asked once more if the jar was full.
The students responded with an unanimous "yes."
The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and
poured the entirecontents into the jar, effectively filling the empty
space between the sand.
The students laughed..
"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided,
"I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.
The golf balls are the important things
--your family, your children, your health, your friends and your
favorite passions---
and if everything else was lost and only they remained;
your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter;
like your job, your house and your car.
The sand is everything else---the small stuff.
"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued,
"there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.
The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the smallstuff,
you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children.
Take time to get medical checkups.
Take your spouse out to dinner.
Play another 18.
There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.
Take care of the golf balls first
--the things that really matter--
Set your priorities.
"The rest is just sand."
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee
represented. .
The professor smiled.
"I'm glad you asked."
"It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem;
there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend ."

Handphone Scam
I cannot stop myself from sharing this with all of you.
Its all started when I received a call from someone claiming that he was from Maxis and he asked me to shutdown my phone for 2 hours for 3g update to take place. As I was rushing for a meeting, I did not question and shutdown my cell phone.
After 45 minutes I felt very suspicious since the caller did not even introduce his name. I quickly turned on my cell phone and I received several calls from my family members and the others were from the number that had called me earlier - 3954380.
I called my parents and I was shocked that they sounded very worried asking me whether I am safe. My parents told me that they had received a call from someone claiming that they had me with them and asking for money to let me free. The call was so real and my parents even heard 'my voice' crying out loud asking for help. My parent was at the bank waiting for next call to proceed for money transfer. I told my parents that I am safe and asked them to lodge a police report.
Right after that I received another call from the guy asking me to shutdown my cell phone for another 1 hour which I refused to do and hung up. They keep calling my cell phone until the battery had run down. I myself lodged a police report and I was informed by the officer that there were many such scams reported. MOST of the cases reported that the victim had already transferred the money! And it is impossible to get back the money.
Be careful as this kind of scam might happened to any of us!!! Those guys are so professional and very convincing during calls. If you are asked to shut down your cell phone for updates by the service provider, ASK AROUND! Your family or friends might receive the same call..
Be Safe and Stay Alert!
Please pass around to your family and friends!
An Open LetterOne brave Sikh girl speaking up!
An open letter to Najib Abdul Razak
Jeswan Kaur | Jan 14, 10 10:33am
Malaysiakini
Mr Prime Minister,
I am compelled to pen you a letter, feeling very distraught over the racial discord rearing its ugly head yet again.
The negative outbursts resulting from the High Court's approval for the Catholic weekly Herald to go ahead and use the word ‘Allah' in its publication and the subsequent attacks on churches have made it very clear, that 1Malaysia is only and only political propaganda.
Your giving the go ahead for protests at mosques only added fuel to the fire, one that is sure to ‘engulf' Malaysians across the board if not enough effort is put into extinguishing it.
You know very well that the unity in diversity Malaysians once enjoyed has been destroyed by the powers that be for their own gain.
God by any other name is God and the house of worship is simply that.
Is a Chinese denied entry into a kuil? If yes, then the annual show at Batu Caves in conjunction with the Thaipusam celebration is nothing but an exercise at making money, thanks to the devotees who offer prayers at a fee.
What about the Sikhs, whose holy scripture the Guru Granth Sahib Ji makes reference to ‘Allah' and its derivatives Alah, Alhu, Allahu and Allahi some 46 times?
What does this tell you? Will the Sikh holy book be tampered with to erase all references made to Allah? Will the Sikhs be banned from reciting prayers from their holy book?
Mosque and blessed feeling for non-Muslim
If religion is so ‘private', I wonder what will happen to that tourist with a tattoo of the word ‘Allah' on her or his arm walking innocently along Petaling Street, Malaysia's very own Chinatown?
I was 22 when I started off as a journalist with an established newspaper company. Even then I had no hang ups over ‘my religion and your religion'.
This explained why I asked my Muslim colleague if I could accompany her to the surau and wait while she did her solat. She was more than happy and said ‘yes'.
As she fulfilled her religious obligations, I sat, feeling blessed at being in a house of worship.
It never crossed my mind that the surau was a place of worship exclusive to Muslims, until a senior reporter walked in and ordered me out, as she said the surau did not welcome a non-Muslim.
Along the way I had more Muslim friends, some who said it was a no-no for me to set foot inside a mosque or to hold the Quran.
But there was one Muslim whom I befriended who was only very helpful in helping me understand more about Islam, including going through the Quran, understanding the Sunnah, Hadith and even experiencing the month long fasting during the Ramadan month.
Urgent need for comparative religion studies
As a reporter, I was assigned to cover assignments at mosques. It was never unnerving for me as it was for the Muslims who became restless noticing the presence of a non-Muslim at their place of worship.
I cannot understand why Muslims become so insecure at the sight of a non-Muslim inside their mosque. But they will only be too happy if the non-Muslim comes in with a purpose to convert.
Doesn't a non-Muslim have the right to set foot inside a masjid, since it is yet another house of worship, to seek God's blessings?
Maybe this is why many Malaysians especially are ignorant about religious practices in Malaysia because they are not given a chance to learn, with no conditions attached. Is comparative study not possible without converting?
A Muslim friend passed away a year ago and we, her non-Muslim friends, gathered at the mosque. We brought along selendang or scarfs to cover our heads, knowing well what was expected of us.
And we later marched to the Muslim burial ground after the Zohor prayers to bid our friend farewell. No hang-ups there.
Even shampoo and toothpaste not spared
I remember as a child listening my grandmother uttering the word ‘Allah Taala' to the Muslim makciks in the kampung where we lived each time they talked about their respective health.
No one took umbrage then, so why today the unnecessary excitement over the court approval for a Catholic news bulletin to use the word ‘Allah'?
Why does the government take offence and demonstrate absolute authority in displaying its dismay over this, to the point that your colleague Nazri Aziz went on to say that the judge had erred in allowing the word ‘Allah' to be used? Is he saying that we no longer trust the judiciary?
Mr Prime Minister you definitely have lots to do, but your to-do list will be hogged by the utmost urgent need to address the issue of 1Malaysia, in the true sense of the word, where the Indians, Chinese and the Malays live as brethrens, with no hint of doubt or syak wasangka.
I believe advertisements showing toothpaste and shampoos exclusively for the Muslims have been doing a lot of damage. Is this a good example of 1Malaysia? Should the Indians and the Chinese follow suit?
I do not understand how Malaysians of today are united in their diversity. A walk to the pasar malam scares me as I dread passing by the stall that sells beef, as there hangs the head of the cow that was slaughtered. Can the non-Muslims make noise about this?
We do not because we 'understand'. But if pork meat was sold openly there would be chaos in the country.
Whither ‘love thy neighbour' ?
Why? Just like we ‘understand' when opulent mosques are built throughout the country.
But how would the Sikhs feel when Astro's Zee station abruptly ends the morning prayer telecast live from their holy shrine, the Golden Temple in Amritsar , Punjab , because of Astro's timing glitch.
This shows Astro's insincerity in making available such service to the Sikh community, not to mention complete disrespect for the prayers.
Also, why must the term ‘babi' (pig) be used to hurl abuses at non-Muslims? Do the non-Muslims stoop as low as use the term ‘lembu' to offend the Muslims?
Non-Muslims keep their pet dogs miles away from their Muslim friends who avoid ‘man's best friend' like the plague.
Sad, truly that even animals are not spared by mankind, God's most challenging creation.
If we have stooped so low, then it is time the country's national anthem ‘Negaraku' be relooked, for the rakyat no longer live bersatu dan maju (the people live united and progressive) nor does the rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan (God bestow His blessings and happiness on us) seems applicable anymore, keeping the racial tensions in mind.
I am sure God is thoroughly dismayed with his creation, for they have failed to grasp the true meaning of ‘love thy neighbour' and are ever thirsty for each other's blood.
Attacking churches like that happened recently is a bleak demonstration of 1Malaysia.
When will the politicisation of religion stop?
How many more hearts will your administration break to protect the interests of the dominant race of this country?
Is worshipping the creator an exercise in politics?
Mr Prime Minister, where were you when a Muslim transsexual was accused of bringing shame to Malaysia ?
For human rights sake, why did you not utter a word?
Is the issue of transsexualism a petty affair to you? What happened to your catch-phrase of ‘rakyat diutamakan etc'.
Is Malaysia gearing towards a second black May 13? If the current events are to be looked at, then yes, the worry and fear are very real as we watch the nation emasculate gradually but surely.
But if we all come to our senses and realise the truth and beauty of ‘love thy neighbour', all will be well, insyallah.

I am not a slave
FML.
Now that there's not maid in the house, I totally understand I need to help out my mom. Of course i did, i did most of the heavy duties for her. Even TV time is complementary to folding clothes time (multi-task lar). Certainly there is a change in my life. I don't live like a fairy-tale princess anymore, so stop the name calling.
Yes, you might say that this period is my holiday and I should help out. I already maximised my time by helping her. Since it's my holidays I have the right to go out either. I have the right to socialise with my friends. I'm not obligated to stay 24/7 in the house doing all these shit.
My mom just had to make such a big fuss about ME going out. It's not like i need you to fetch me and shit. NO. I never do that. NEVER. Why is she making such a big fuss? Because no one will mop the floor for her if i go out. No one will peel garlic skin for her. Come on, mom I have a life and i don't go out every single day. Just because you are a housewife doesn't mean you have to take my life away. And I helped you most of the time.
Like, just now I just woke up from my nap, I can hear her complaining loudly to grandma that I'm going out tomorrow. Whining that nobody will help her.
Sigh, i hate my current life. my mom hates her life too.
I cannot throw my tantrums at her, because she's the one funding my education.
What can I do? Not that i love doing housework. I pity my mom but sometimes she's just so unbearable i just ignore her. I understand that she cannot complain to my dad because my dad has bigger responsibilities, which is to feed the family.
I know you will suggest to hire a maid. But she insisted not to hire one. What other solutions do you have?
I feel i'm so boring now, because i only talk about houseworks now. BLAH.
I pray for a maid to drop from the sky. God, give me a maid thanks.
*update: my mom is pissing me off again. F.

Truly Beaute
So there was this beauty exhibition, organised by a good friend of mine, John Loke. I'm so glad that he told me about this because i got lots of freebies and services =) I was one happy girl.
This beauty exhibition was held in the Mid Valley Convention Centre. I registered for 2 seminars, one is about how to do natural look make up which is so damn freaking simple just that i don't have the tools. Another one, which i missed because the stalls are too attractive, is the night diva look, nvm i can search for the tutorial from youtube.
It's really fun to be pampered. I got free nail art, 10 fingers! free skin analysis and free hair analysis as well as fat analysis. Im not much of a fan of manicure, and i also hate putting glitters on my fingers, it's such a hindrace you know! I don't understand how those ppl put extensions on their nails some more. How to take out contacts like that? Well, I had a wedding to attend the next day so i just did it for fun. And it's such a nuissance, i'll never do it again. I HATE MANICURE.
Walked around, saw lots of cosmetics lar, tempted to buy but kanasai! i brought very little money that day. Why oh WHY!!!! the eye shadows are so pretty!!! All the shimmer! oh well i'm too poor to buy all these. But i bought lots of skin care tho. For my mom and sis too. hahaha. Borosnya.
Oh yeah, the adonis ppl said my skin is HORRIBLY BAD. Very dry, clogged pores, wrinkles, blackheads (i've forgotten what's the correct term for blackheads). I was like wtf and really shocked, but it's the truth, my sleeping hours are so inconsistent. My skin is worse than zhini's skin!! NO!!!! Haha. Bought some serum for them, and im entitled to a facial treatment worth RM180. Not as geng as Likee, RM690 facial treatment, deng. I should have gone for the quiz hahah!
I also got free hair treament worth about RM500, going for it next friday. The analyst said my hair is very healthy and i have a lot of hair. This is great because i won't bald =) And she said my hair is pretty =) Natural curls rock! you suck straight hair! ok lar u don't suck just that i rock!
What else? I should have bought more stuffs larrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Oh yeah i bought a hair volumising thing, gives volume to your hair! But i don't really know how to put it. So yeah.
Well, this exhibition does not only showcase cosmetics lar, tho there are many stalls showing cosmetics and skin cares. They also showcased plastic surgery (yeah i'm not kidding), slimming sessions and also spa, massages. All these are not useful to me so i don't care. But one thing that fascinated me is the breast implant! So cool! Not the conventional breast implant, the improved breast implant, so durable and soft, feels so natural! It's so durable that it wont break off even if i pierce it with a knife. I think i might consider breasts implant when i'm older. IMHO, i don't think it's wrong to have plastic surgery? Why issit wrong? as long as i can afford it.
I want more eye shadows! i want gel eyeliner!! I'm being so vain! But it's reasonable because I'm a GIRL who wants to be PRETTY.
Quote: Ugly girls do not exist, but lazy girls do!
So true, we girls should adopt this concept and start pampering ourselves!

Deep, deep down inside me
I thought I've let go everything and i really felt that sense of relieve. Really, i did.
But I'm wrong.
Is it because I'm too greedy?
Greedy to the extend that i always feel not contented with what I have.
Or should i say I'm just striving for more every time but i fail.
Cried for no reason. I really don't know why.
Nothing triggered me either.
No appetite, unable to sleep every night
No motivation, no goals.
Why am i like this?
I am really sad that I'm so negative. I cannot change.
Don't try to comfort me, unless you really understand me.
I don't think there's anyone who can.

Private Tuition
I wanna leave the tuition centre for the following reasons:
- The centre is too far, need to waste petrol to go there.
- Low pay (the main reason)
- Hate preparing teaching materials
- Very unorganized department, hard to communicate with other tutors of my department
- Needs a lot of effort
I'll ask them to come to my house.
Hmmm..but i don't know how to get studenets? paste notices around?
I'm also unsure of my uni schedule, will it be hectic? until i have no time to rest? needless to say about teaching.
What do you guys think?

Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You
Original version by Glenn Medeiros.
Another rendition by Khalil Fong. His voice is simply soothing and so dreamy.
Go search for him on youtube. Here.
Lyrics:
If I had to live my life without you near me
The days would all be empty
The nights would seem so long
With you I see forever oh so clearly
I might have been in love before
But it never felt this strong
Our dreams are young
And we both know they'll take us
Where we want to go
(Chorus 1)
Hold me now
Touch me now
I don't want to live without you
(Chorus 2)
Nothing's gonna change my love for you
You ought know by now how much I love you
One thing you can be sure of
I'll never ask for more than your love
(Chorus 3)
Nothing's gonna change my love for you
You ought know by now how much I love you
The world may change my whole life through
But nothing's gonna change my love for you
If the road ahead is not so easy,
Our love will lead the way for us
Like a guiding star
I'll be there for you if you should need me
You don't have to change a thing
I love you just the way you are
So come with me and share the view
I'll help you see forever too
(Repeat Chorus 1)
(Repeat Chorus 2)
(Repeat Chorus 3)
(Repeat Chorus 2) (2X)
(Repeat Chorus 3)
(Repeat Chorus 2)

Shopping @ Pyramid + G3 Reunion #1
Us: "We're going to ftf now!"
Jay: "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
Ordered the usual stuffs we always eat. Toh with his red bean ice kacang again. Food arrived in about 10 mins i suppose? When i took my first bite, i was like, OH MAMA, so salty!!! how did i manage to eat this every week back in college days? What seemed to be scrumptious to me turns out to be as if I was engulfing the entire salt mountain from the 'dead sea'. OH MAMA.
Next stop: Sunway Pyramid
Our agenda for that outing? Walked around, window-shopped a little, shopped a little. Alas, the fantastic-10 went to catch a movie and the rest went to have a drink at kim gary. ahhhhh nothing's better than catching up with college besties about our current what-abouts and future plans? Oh i know what's better! GOSSIPING is always the best. Haha. For example, 'who will be the first one in G3 to get married?' And not to forget, our 10-years-promise. Remember to bring your kids along. At the end of the chattering session, Brian decided to treat us. Guess what did Samuel, the greedy mouse say?
Brian: "My treat today!"
Samuel: "Haiyor, if i knew earlier i would have ordered something!"
Huei Wen: "Aiyor, I should have ordered something expensive to eat!"
others: "haahahahHAHAHAHhahahahHAHAHAHHA!"
After that, i needed to go to the loo badly. BUT! i cannot find the toilet!!!!! That samuel knows wheres the toilet also don't want to tell! LUCKILY I DIDN'T PEE IN MY PANTS!
Time to do some grocery shopping. Wandered around Giant to get some fooooooood. And Off to Stephanie's ULU house.
No problem on the highway, jammed all the way to Shah Alam. When we were within 100m radius from her house, we got lost! hahaha. Why are so many round-abouts around your neighbourhood?! mini one, tiny one, huge one, gigantic ones. Called stephanie umpteen times to get the right directions.
She kept repeating: "have you passed the round-about?"
me: "Which round-about?!?!?!?"
Jit Tong's car was so fed up of following our wrong directions and decided to continue their journey on their own. sob. Yu Chuan has a GPS but don't wanna use it and decided to get lost. Kai Vin was stucked in a massive jam haha!
The black myvi was the first to reach! We were greeted by Stephanie's German Sheperd (fake one). Seperti rusa masuk ke kampung, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah your house so big!!!
Stephanie's hospitality very awesome hor, because she's awesome =) Great food (thank you auntie!), great house (uncle u're awesome!) and great games (thank you sebastian for setting up everything for us). Everybody snatched the wii remote control, k lar no snatch, take turns =).
Boxing was my favourite, and i ended up having sore triceps and biceps AS WELL AS BACKACHE.
What's more? My favourite part of the gathering was relaxing at her cooling garden, accompanied by koi fishes and the S-shape fishes, TALKING AGAIN! Too bad, no music. Nikkil didn't want to sing, so much for taking vocal lessons and you don't want to show off! We also had fun watching Stephanie fighting with her brother, Sebastian. No wonder stephanie looks tired in college every morning, cause she had to go through this ordeal every single day!
Hey guys, really want to suprise Pn Mahani by sitting in her class on the first day of college? I don't mind!
To sum up, it was a fun gathering, my only regret is that the gathering was too short! Hope that there's more to come.
I would like to say thank you to Stephanie Yeap Jin Leng, the awesome one for offering her gigantic house for noisy animals like us.
Photos available in facebook.
Taylor's Awards Presentation Ceremony
The aftermath? You know what it is. It's so dark, that the sky turned dark as well, followed my dark circles' footsteps. Dark clouds floated across my house and rain started to plummet down like bullets. Oh well, time to take out the weapon required - umbrella. Under my umbrella, ella, ella, ella eh, eh, under my umbrella, ella, ella, ella, eh eh!
Dad dropped mommy and mua at taylors and went to work. Climbed up the endless staircase to the MPH hall. Seriously when is taylors gonna install an escalator or a lift. Swarmed with a lot of humans lar, 'people mountain people sea'. Actually not a lot, compared to the previous awards ceremony. Yeah, i don't like huge crowds, don't like to squeeze through them and constantly saying excuse me. I'm selfish. Yes.
Registered and seated, anxiously waiting for the ceremony to start. Mrs Quek briefed us on how to behave and stuff and not long after the ceremony started.
Speeches, speeches, speeches. oh yeah, i love the emcee, he's so bubbly and funny! Always smiling. I've got to say, a smile can have such a big impact on other people. A smile can make someone's day. A smile can give other ppl reassurance. A smile can make other people feel welcomed. Don't forget to bring your smile with you wherever you go! Remember to flash your set of good teeth, if you don't, you can come to me after 5 years? I'll fix it for you =)
=)
First speech, by Mrs Hoe Li Lin, the principal of SAM. She did some analysis on our performance, and compared it to the aussies' performance. To my suprise, we are so much better! Kinda open my eyes. Next, speech by Counsellor of Education, Australian High Commission, Ms Louse McSorley, some angmoh poh lar! Brian kept saying she's trying to seduce us, by speaking in a low voice and changing her pose from time to time. Well i think she's fine. Maybe she's just nervous because a bunch of asians are staring at her. haha SEDUCE us. RIGHT! Lastly, speech by president of TUC. He cannot stop using the word 'awesome'. Guess he want to fit in the teenagers' circle. Hahahaha. We are AWESOME!
On with the presentation of Awards. ahhhhhhh a lot of humans! Got to salute the top scorer, Teh Li Ying. With TER of 99.90 and 4 merits. *i got 1 merit only haha* Wonders how she studies..hmmm. Anybody knows the official photographer? should i seduce him as well to get my photos? my camera sucks lar, my mom's first time using the camera as well :'(.
This is an example of how my photos look like. ahhhh!
I got 2 awards. One for straight As and one for merit. I'm still proud of my achievements even though I'm not the top-est! Wee.
But i really admire those who got the Chairman's Award and President's Award. All these geniuses. Can study, can do charity, can dance, can sing, can do sports. Nothing that they cannot do. Instantly, i've set them as my role models. I'm inspired to do more things when i'm in uni, don't want my life to revolve around studying only.
Nerds should not be admired. But all-rounders should be worshiped.
The ceremony ended with a speech by Valedictorian, Jeremiah. His speeches are soothing to the ears, not the boring-boring speech by our SAM student council president, kayu. But nvm he's a wood what can you expect from him? Anyway, Jeremiah is a talented speaker, not to mention a top scorer. You have my respect. Couldn't really see his face, is he lengchai?
Then, it's time to CAMWHORE!! Everybody went up the stage to get our photos snapped by the paparazzis! So bad lar those guys, no brain one! how can u ask the girls to squat? Dumb dumb. Hope the staff will upload the photos on facebook lar. I desperately wanna see them.
Next post: sunway pyramid outing + G3 reunion party

Vampire
Moreover, i have fangs =) Quite sharp i would say. Right, they also say vampires are drop-dead-gorgeous to lure their preys, and then SUCK THEIR BLOOD! Am i gorgeous enough to lure you? *wink* Okay, shall not act like a prostitude.
I used to think my sister is insane for staying up until 4am last time. I mean, who doesn't like to sleep? But guess who's insane now, ME TOO. I just enjoy the quiet time to myself. Solitary to myself, to do some thinking, self reflecting, dreaming, reading, watching videos. And the best thing is? nobody disturbs me. Of course lar, everybody is alseep, sleep and sound (snoring)! Don't worry, I don't watch porn. I watch make-up tutorials =) I'm so fascinated lar! I should take up make up!!! I want that 180 colour palette, from ebay!! 180 eyeshadows ok. And it's quite cheap, 25 USD okay, for 180 colours!
Sigh, got a lot of blisters on my hand, as a result of cleaning every single day. This sucks. What should i do? lick my blisters so that they'll heal faster? (vampires lick themselves because they have healing powers) Damn coarse lar my hands, should apply lotion.
Sorry, too much vampire related shows/movies/books. I got carried away.
PS. Edward Cullen, opps sorry it's Robert Pattinson is NOT cute/handsome AT ALL. Not a sinlge bit. No wonder he doesn't drink blood because he fails to lure his prey. Vegetarian..pfft.
I'm team taylor!! yeay.

Made in Malaysia
The following are true stories:
A Malaysian political leader had a heart surgery in Singapore .
The operation was successful. During his recuperation period, the political leader would like to thank three skillful doctors, including an anaesthesiologist.
He said: “Thanks to the Singaporean doctors...”
“I'm sorry, sir. I'm from Malaysia ,” interrupted a doctor.
“Me too.”
“Me as well.”

A Malaysian company wanted to develop a new town abroad, it entrusted the project to a Singapore multinational company.
The first time when they met, the Singapore company sent a team of seven people, including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Architect and Chief Finance Executive.
The meeting went smoothly. They relaxed and chatted.
The Malaysian company's Director said: “Durians from my hometown Kuala Pilah, Seremban taste the best. I'll treat you all next time when you come.”
“Really? What area in Kuala Pilah? I'm from Kuala Pilah, too!” said the Singapore company's Chief Executive Officer.
Next, one by one, the other six from the Singaporean team revealed their identities.
“I'm from Malacca.”
“I'm from Kuala Kangsar, Perak.”
“I grew up in Segamat.”
“My hometown is...”
And all of them were actually “made in Malaysia ”.

There are countless similar stories around us.
And there is always another story behind each story.
Some were rejected by domestic universities while some were rejected by the government scholarship.
They couldn't get it even with 10 As while others got only 10 Bs. As leaving might be better than staying, they just went to a different world after crossing the bridge.
There is a deep feeling for every story.

According to the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) statistics, a total of about 785,000 Malaysians are currently working abroad and 44% of them are working in Singapore while the rest are working in other countries, including Hong Kong , China , Australia , the United Kingdom and the United States .
And two-thirds of them are professionals.
At the same time, most of the 2 million guest workers in Malaysia are from Indonesia , Bangladesh , Myanmar , India and Vietnam.
They are engaged in labour industry which does not require high educational background but just a little bit of brains. Low skill, low knowledge and of course, low wages.
Malaysia has become a country that exports brains while importing labours, resulting in a serious deficit in knowledge trade.

The government started to call on talent backflow in 2000 by offering a variety of incentives, including tax concessions and other conditions.
It has been nearly 10 years of time but only 770 people responded, with an average of 80 talents return a year. The 770 people are just a small number of the total number of people working abroad.
However, many of the small group of people still choose to leave again even they have returned.
